Sydney at Sunset

One evening I had the great pleasure of being at Circular Quay, Sydney, with my camera, as sun began to set. I remember whilst studying at UNSW often catching the bus from Coogee or Bronte Beach after class back to Circular Quay, walking around the harbour with a coffee or an ice-cream - thinking about all the great mysteries of life before catching the train back home.

I knew it was a beautiful place to be, even amidst the busyness of the big city with all those bright lights colouring in the harbour in the night sky, against a shining backdrop of the Bridge and the Opera House, buskers in the background strumming their pain with their fingers...artists captivating tourists walking by, starstruck lovers having a bit of a pash in the moonlight, over on the opera house steps...

This particular night, they had lit the Opera House up. It was pretty spectacular.I have had the pleasure of experiencing many cities around the world and I may be biased, but I reckon Sydney Harbour rocks as, every time.

"I've been to cities that never close down,
from New York to Rio and old London town,
but no matter how far or how wide I roam,
I still call Australia home"
- Peter Allen
